Entry Requirements
A Level Entry Requirements
You will need to achieve five or more “4” grades to come to our Sixth Form.
If you achieve fewer than five “6” grades | → | You will study three A levels or a BTEC |
If you achieve six “6” grades and four “7” grades | → | You will study three A levels or a BTEC and either core maths or an EPQ |
If you achieve more than five “7” grades | → | You can choose to study 4 A Levels if you wish. |
BTEC Extended Diploma Entry Requirements
If you achieve four “4” grades or above at GCSE (including a grade 4 or better in Maths or English) you will be considered for the BTEC extended diploma course.
Please be aware that due to the reformed specifications of all A level courses resulting in exams in Year 12 no longer contributing to the final A level result, Conyers Sixth Form do not enter students for AS exams at the end of Year 12.

Biology | Grade 6 in Biology or 66 in double award science |
Chemistry | Grade 6 in Chemistry or 66 in double award science |
Computing | Grade 5 in Maths |
Economics | Grade 5 in Maths or studying Core Maths |
Further Maths | Grade 7 in Maths |
Maths | Grade 6 in Maths |
Modern Languages | Grade 6 in the language to be studied |
Music | Working towards Grade 5 in Music Theory and working at grade 4 in chosen instrument |
PE | Playing, coaching or officiating competitively in at least 1 sport regularly |
Physics | Grade 6 in Physics or 66 in double award science Grade 6 in Maths or studying Core Maths |
Music and Music Tech are not timetabled in the option blocks | |
Students who have achieved more than five ‘6’ grades must also select either Core Maths or EPQ Core Maths is timetabled in block A – The EPQ is not timetabled in a block. |
